Can't get into your Formula account? Your subscription is safe while we sort this out — nothing is lost and nothing extra will be charged. Most sign-in problems are one of the four below.
If instead you're being told the account doesn't exist at all, or you can't connect a charge to any account, start here: We can't find your account" — why it happens and what to do.
1. The one-time code didn't arrive
We don't use passwords — signing in sends a 6-digit code to the email on your account. If it doesn't show up:
Check spam / junk / promotions. This is the most common cause by far. Add [email protected] to your contacts so future codes land in your inbox.
Check you're looking in the right mailbox — the code goes to the address on the account, which may not be your everyday email.
Use the newest code. If you requested several, only the most recent one works; older ones stop working immediately.
Codes expire. If a few minutes have passed, request a fresh one rather than typing the old one.
Still nothing after 5 minutes? Contact us — we'll confirm which address your account uses and can send you access directly.
2. You're using the wrong sign-in method
The method depends on where you bought:
Bought on our website → sign in with the email you used at the quiz, then the one-time code.
Bought in the App Store → usually Sign in with Apple, using the same Apple ID as at purchase. (If you chose "Hide My Email", your account sits under an @privaterelay.appleid.com address — using the “Sign in with Apple” option is the only way it will match.)
Bought on Google Play → email + one-time code. There is no separate "Sign in with Google" button on this flow.
3. The app asks you to pay again
You don't need to pay twice. An active subscription that isn't recognised usually means you're signed in to a different account than the one that holds it. See I bought a subscription, but the app asks me to pay again. Don't complete a second purchase to get in — contact us instead and we'll link things up.
4. You deleted your data or your account
Removing your personal data in the app can leave you unable to sign in. Important: deleting the app or your data does not cancel a subscription — so billing may still be active. Contact us and we'll check both, and cancel and refund if you're paying for something you can no longer reach. See also How to delete your account.
Still stuck — write to us
Email [email protected] or use the button below. We reply within 24 hours. To make it fast, send:
the email address you used (or think you used) at signup;
a screenshot of the error you're seeing;
a screenshot of the charge (name, date, amount, transaction ID or invoice number) — with this we can find your account even if the email is wrong.
Helpful if you have it: where you bought (website / App Store / Google Play), whether you changed phone, and whether you're on the same Apple ID.
